Everything You Need To Know About the NEW Cast Members Added To Season 2 of "The Pitt"
New sets of hands may relieve Whittiker from multiple scrub changes, because The Pitt will have new characters to its ER team! The HBO Max show that is predicted to be nominated for multiple Emmys categories, with Emmys predictions from multiple outlets like Variety and Gold Derby including: Best Lead Actor (Drama; Noah Wyle), Best Supporting Actress (Drama; Katherine LaNasa), Best Directing and Writing (Drama; R. Scott Gemmill, John Wells, Damian Marcano, and Joe Sachs), Best Guest Actor (Drama; Shawn Hatosy) and more, has added new cast members to its stellar team!

Charles Baker

Actor Charles Baker will be joining the new series with over a hundred credits of TV acting experience under his belt! Baker is mainly known for his role as “Skinny Pete” on the show Breaking Bad, the hit series starring Bryan Cranston. But he’s also made appearances in The Blacklist (2013-2017), 9-1-1 (2018), The Rookie (2019), The Mandalorian (2023) and many more! In short descriptions exclusively released to Deadline of each character, starting with Baker, he will play an “Troy, an unhoused man forgotten by most, and a patient in the ED.”
Irene Choi

Irene Choi has had her foot firm in the world of series acting since 2010! She made an appearance in 2 Broke Girls back in 2013, an appearance in NCIS: Los Angeles in 2014, CSI: Cyber in 2015, Grey’s Anatomy in 2016, and one of her biggest TV roles was as Dixie Sinclair in sixteen episodes of the series Insatiable from 2018-2019! And aside from her long resume of acting debuts, her biggest role in film was multiple Oscar nominated Marriage Story! Choi, according to details released to Deadline, will play “Joy, a third-year medical student with strong boundaries and a vast knowledge of medicine that leans toward the macabre.”
Laetitia Hollard
Laetitia Hollard has acted in comedic short films that include Transaster (2022) and Ravel (2025). And Hollard also has a hefty amount of theatre acting under her belt! Graduating in Group 54 at Julliard, she’s had acting experience since 2019, acting in multiple shows! Per the details of Deadline, “Hollard will play Emma, a recent nursing school graduate, who some may consider naive”.
Lucas Iverson

Both an actor and writer, Iverson, according to his IMDb bio, graduated from the Yale School of Drama, and has worked at the Yale Repertory Theatre, Premiere Stages, Williamstown Theatre Festival, and many more. And his bio also notes that “his lifelong dream is to reinstate the importance of vitality of theatre in this country.” His onscreen works include I am Here (2016), and a series of short films like Hopelessly (2018), Love: Augmented (2020), and Boys Night (2021). Iverson, per Deadline’s details, will play “James, a fourth-year medical student” in The Pitt. It will be interesting if Santos from the series (played by Isa Briones) passes the baton and dubs another nickname unto another medical student.
Sepideh Moafi

Actress and producer Sepideh Moafi will also be joining the hit series! Moafi has been in the industry since 2010, making many appearances in everyone’s favorite hit series on TV! Many include The Good Wife (2014), Limitless (2015), and just like Charles Baker, she also appeared in The Blacklist (2015). Moafi is most known for her roles in the miniseries Class of 09’ (2023), and her longstanding roles in The Deuce (2017-2019), and The L Word: Generation Q (2019-2023). She also has experience in the 2022 miniseries starring Taron Egerton, Blackbird (2022). And now in The Pitt, this will be one of Moafi’s biggest roles yet, as she’ll be a series regular as an attending physician in the critically acclaimed series.

These additions will be acting beside confirmed cast members Noah Wyle, who leads as Dr. Robby, Katherine LaNasa who plays charge nurse Dana Evans, Gerran Howell as Dennis Whittaker, and Trinity Santos played by Isa Briones. Also returning to The Pitt are Supriya Ganesh as Dr. Samira Mohan, Alexandra Metz as Dr. Yolanda Garcia, Fiona Dourif as Dr. Cassie McKay, Taylor Dearden as Dr. Melissa King, Shabeena Azeez as Victoria Javadi, Shawn Hatosy as Dr. Jack Abbot, and Tracy Ifeachor as Dr. Heather Collins. Patrick Ball also recently confirmed his return to season 2 to Variety! The nurses of The Pitt will also be seen again onscreen, as Amielynn Abellera will be reprising her role as Perlah, Kristin Villanueva as Princess, Ned Bower as Jesse, and Jalen Thomas Brooks as Mateo!
With the new cast on board and enticing descriptions of their various roles, it will definitely be interesting to see where hour by hour, things will go at the fictional (yet represented very realistically in everyday healthcare facilities and departments) Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center’s ER. And fingers crossed by the time season two rolls around… the show’s cast and crew will have multiple Emmys to their names!
